Committed to innovation + sustainability
ENGIE Energía Perú is aware of its role and impact on society, therefore it acts in the interest of its employees, customers, contractors & suppliers, communities and shareholders, also seeking to develop harmonious and lasting relationships with its other stakeholders. In this sense, its general strategy integrates environmental, social and good corporate governance factors, considering that sustainable management not only brings great value to the company, but also favors environmental care, improvement of quality of life or economic and social development.
ENGIE has launched the first electric educational bus in Peru that brings knowledge about the world of energy and sustainability to children from 7 to 11 years old in their schools.
This idea was born in ENGIE's Sustainability team, seeking to give an innovative use with social, educational and environmental impact to its electric buses. It has been achieved to create a complete educational experience with a pedagogical and playful concept through experiments, stories and activities, and that is why the bus has been completely transformed.
"The Green Educational Bus: The Magic of Electricity" is aligned with ENGIE's sustainable corporate purpose: To act to accelerate the energy transition to a carbon neutral economy. It also responds to its desire to generate shared value for its stakeholders, working through the Education axis.
This project seeks to reinforce children's knowledge about energy, and to sensitize future adults of tomorrow's world to the need to use clean energy, opening the door to solutions that already exist.
