Supermercados Peruanos achieves 80% savings through sustainable practices

The team of Supermercados Peruanos S.A. implemented an energy efficiency and sustainable development project at its main distribution center in Punta Negra.

With the support of Optima Energy, In addition, an IoT intelligent lighting control system was implemented. Digital Lumens at its Distribution Center, which has been generating savings over 80% in lighting energy consumption.

This saving is achieved with the automated control of lighting dimming according to the amount of natural light during daylight hours and according to the occupancy of the spaces, ensuring the visual comfort of the collaborators.

In the first 5 months of the project, the system has saved more than 1,000,000 kWh equivalent to 615 tons of CO2.

These results show how the energy efficiency projects essential to achieving the sustainable development of the industry in the country.
