From July 10 to 16, the first Environmental Hackathonan initiative spearheaded by NGR in conjunction with the Technological University of Peru (UTP). This space for creativity and collaboration brought together students committed to sustainability, with the aim of devising innovative solutions to improve waste management and promote environmental care.
The call generated a remarkable participation: 36 registered teams y 130 students from 13 careers and of the 12 UTP sites nationwide. The most represented careers were Systems and Computer Engineering (30,77%) and Industrial Engineering (21,54%). Enthusiasm was reflected in the presentation of more than 30 innovative proposalsoriented to face real environmental challenges.
The process was accompanied by 12 mentors and organizations, who offered around 14 hours of mentoringproviding expertise and guidance in the development of the initiatives.
The Environmental Hackathon is thus consolidating its position as an example of the power of the strategic alliances to connect with young talent, drive sustainable solutions and move towards a more conscious and responsible future for the planet.
