Now it will be easier to help from home: ColaboraPeru.org is a web platform that allows organizations offering or requesting help to connect with each other and also to connect with people interested in supporting the millions of Peruvians who are suffering the consequences of COVID-19. The platform is a free public service that works like “classified ads”.”.
This platform is a means to foster collaboration between all types of organizations and individuals that are acting within the framework of COVID-19 in Peru. While all institutional solidarity initiatives are welcome in ColaboraPeru, the first to use the platform are related to causes that raise funds or resources to satisfy basic needs of vulnerable populations.
For Jaime Ulloa, CEO of Osmia, “ColaboraPeru was created to make it easier for people and organizations interested in helping to find in one place all the initiatives that have arisen in response to the problems generated by the pandemic”.
Organizations only have to register on the website and post one or more announcements about the initiatives they are carrying out, ColaboraPeru will validate the information online. People interested in joining an initiative have to click to express their interest in the initiative of their choice.
