This is the highest level of EDGE sustainable building certification.
As part of the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the EDGE Certification and the EDGE Summit Peru 2025, IFC (International Finance Corporation) officials invited key players in the sustainable construction sector in the country, including leading companies in the transformation of the market towards greener and more resilient buildings.
During the event, the Banco de Crédito (BCP) was recognized for having the first EDGE ZERO CARBON office in South America, by its agency BCP LAB.
This is the highest level of the EDGE sustainable building certification (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies)by achieving savings of more than 51% of energy, 42% of water and 81% of embodied energy in building materials - relative to the local baseline - by consuming renewable energy through solar panels and offsetting the remaining operational carbon footprint.
This agency was conceived under strategies of operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, reinforcing BCP's commitment to sustainability from its own operations. In addition, they already have more than 60 certified agencies and continue working to transform their premises in a sustainable manner.
