The World Economic Forum's new report, The Global Risks Report 2022, highlights that the climate crisis remains among the most serious and imminent risks to the world. Extreme weather events and climate inaction are among the top 5 risks in the near term. It also forecasts the difficulty of a coordinated and sufficiently rapid response to climate change and other global challenges due to geopolitical and geoeconomic tensions along with the economic impacts of the pandemic.
