The corporation has donated personal protection equipment and the use of machinery for disinfection in several cities, and has joined the support to vulnerable families promoted by several institutions.
Ferreycorp continues to join the fight against COVID-19 in the country. The corporation delivered personal protection equipment, provided by the subsidiary Soltrak, to the Volunteer Firefighters of Peru in Iquitos and Puerto Maldonado, to the Regional Hospital of Iquitos and to the Apostolic Vicariate of Pucallpa, which has been consolidating donations in that city.
The aim is to contribute to the biosecurity management of those who are, on the front line, attending cases related to COVID-19 or responding to emergencies. These donations are in addition to those delivered to the Emergency Mobile Care System (SAMU) of the Ministry of Health, the Peruvian Volunteer Firefighters in Lima and the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN).
To date, Ferreycorp's contribution has been more than 3,100 safety suits, 2,300 N95 masks, more than a hundred reusable half- and full-face respirators, 22,000 pairs of gloves, boots and safety glasses.
At the same time, the flagship company Ferreyros, a leader in heavy machinery, carried out the donation in use of machinery for disinfection work in the cities of Piura, Chiclayo, Chincha and Ica, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. For these campaigns, it provided agricultural tractors of its represented brand Massey Ferguson, equipped with a Kuhn Twister sprayer. Since the beginning of the health situation, the corporation has been joining solidarity initiatives undertaken by various institutions: for example, the living expenses of the Casa de Todos shelter; the provision of food for vulnerable families through the Asociación de las Buenaventuranzas, Cáritas del Perú and Hombro a Hombro, among others; and the purchase of mechanical fans through Cómex and Confiep.
