New York-based LatinFinance Magazine announced the winners of its Deals of the Year awards, with CBC receiving recognition for "Corporate ESG Deal of the Year, $1.1bn SLB and Exchange," which also recognizes the best green bond issue.
The winners were determined by LatinFinance's editorial team based on an exhaustive selection process and are the historical recognition of outstanding transactions and institutions in the Latin American and Caribbean capital markets, and the results of the awards.
This year's awards are based on results published during the eligibility period from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.
The winners were recognized at the LatinFinance Capital Markets Dinner on January 26, 2022 in New York City, which was attended by our CEO, Juan Pablo Mata, who also participated in the Forum: Sustainable Capital Markets - Innovating for the Greater Good, as a speaker.

Also at the invitation of LatinFinance, our CEO, Juan Pablo Mata, participated as a speaker at the Forum: Sustainable Capital Markets - Innovating for the Greater Good, which was held at the New York Stock Exchange.
This panel addressed how well companies in the region are integrating sustainability into their strategic planning, the criteria investors are looking for and approaches to place the market on a more solid footing, where our CEO contributed with his experience from the management of Grupo Mariposa.
Participants in the discussion included Juan Pablo Mata, CEO, Grupo Mariposa, Guatemala, Daniel Gracian, Director of Sustainable Finance - LatAm, Scotiabank, Edmundo Sánchez, CFO, Comisión Federal de Electricidad México (CFE) and Fernando Hasenberg, CFO, CPMC, Mexico, who also discussed innovations such as blue bonds.
Our participation in these technical and academic debates places us as a benchmark for best practices and sustainability worldwide, in addition to the recognition of our leaders as generators of innovation and sustainable development.
