Peruvian bank BCP has obtained the first set of certifications "Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE). for their agencies, thanks to their commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. These agencies have achieved a minimum 20% reduction in energy, water and embodied energy consumption in their building materials as part of their sustainability transformation project.
Certification EDGE is a global standard developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC)The World Bank group recognizes buildings that achieve efficient and sustainable use of resources.
It is important to mention that of the 17 BCP agencies certified to date, 10 have earned EDGE Advanced Certification. This distinction is awarded to those buildings that achieve a minimum savings of 40% in energy and 20% in water and embodied energy compared to local conventional buildings.
Diego Cavero, General Manager of BCP, expressed his pride for this recognition and underscored the institution's commitment to caring for the environment and providing efficient and responsible services.
