In line with the company's business strategy and in order to ensure its commitment, the brand has established a comprehensive framework based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thus, allocating approximately US$ 374 K for the development of projects and initiatives in this area in its Peruvian operation.
As part of its "Accelerate" strategy, Inchcape has incorporated the "Responsible Business" program, which aims to develop sound and transparent corporate governance practices that promote reducing the environmental impacts of its operations and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture.

"We have adopted the use of electronic signatures throughout our New Inchcape (formerly Derco) operation, which has significantly reduced paper consumption. In terms of energy efficiency, we have improved our facilities by using more efficient air conditioning and lighting equipment. We have implemented solar panels at our Arequipa headquarters, opting for clean and renewable energy sources. We are also in the process of changing our entire operations and logistics fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles, thus promoting sustainable mobility. We have also carried out the reduction of plastics and packaging through the implementation of reusable and biodegradable material bags in strategic locations. Additionally, we have added the collection of end-of-life tires (ELT), lubricants and batteries, thus promoting the proper management of hazardous waste and contributing to the protection of the environment. And we are proud to have obtained the "Peru Carbon Footprint" recognition awarded by the Ministry of the Environment for our achievements in measuring our emissions. And to make its role more tangible and align it with its employees, in May the company launched an internal campaign called "Reciclatón" (Recycleathon), in partnership with Aniquem. The aim of this initiative is to encourage the continuous recycling of materials within the company and to generate a positive impact on the lives of the children of Aniquem, an organization that provides care for children affected by burns.
"The Reciclatón has achieved the incredible participation of our more than 20 sites in Lima and Arequipa, which demonstrates our collaborative work by managing to collect in the first quarter of the year, an amazing 21 tons of recycled materials. Every kilogram counts, since with them we have directly contributed to provide benefits to ANIQUEM's children, including physical, occupational and psychological therapies, as well as the acquisition of masks and specialized clothing", Enrique Pagola adds.
