DP World makes donations in Callao and Paita to face the emergency of COVID-19

More than 3,200 people have benefited from this support

In view of the health crisis in Peru due to the coronavirus pandemic, DP World has shown its solidarity with the communities where it operates and has carried out various actions and delivered donations to support them during the emergency.

The company has donated a total of 8,370 kilos of food, 2,650 medical implements and 8,494 biosafety protection kits, benefiting more than 3,200 people in Callao and Paita. The company has also donated a refrigerated container to the Regional Government of Callao.

“At DP World we are committed to our society and we will continue to support them in any way we can. We have already made contributions of basic necessities, medical and protective equipment in order to help the most vulnerable people,” said Gerard van den Heuvel CEO of DP World.

On the other hand, van den Heuvel indicated that the company has provided free of charge the service of transporting donations through the campaign “Together we take charge”, transporting 383 tons of basic necessities to the neediest places in Lima and Callao.
