For the third consecutive year TASA suppliers complete the Global Reporting Initiative's competitive business program
The fishery RATE announced the conclusion of the third edition of the competitive business program of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) where 138 strategic suppliers of TASA presented their sustainability reports under GRI international standards.
For the purpose of improving competitiveness and aligning the business vision of the fishery with that of its suppliers, TASA has for the past three years been undertaking a series of training workshops with key allies such as the GRI to enable strategic suppliers in the logistics area to improve their approach to corporate governance, human resources, safety, environment and social management.
“We started the year with ambitious goals for the development of our suppliers; however, the situation presented several difficulties and obstacles that each company was able to handle, allowing 138 MYPES to graduate today, a figure that even exceeds what was achieved last year. Committing to a project of this type in the current circumstances makes it clear to us how important the program is for suppliers,” explained Juan Laghi, Logistics Manager.
As next steps, suppliers will be supported by the GRI in the development and implementation of improvement plans. according to the findings obtained. They will also have access to the GRI international community where they will have access to workspaces and dissemination of best practices with potential customers and integrating projects that follow similar standards.
