- Peru generates more than 23,000 tons of solid waste per day, a large proportion of which is not properly managed.
- Comimtel organized the first R-Evoluciona 2025 Awards gala, where more than 1,500 companies committed to sustainability participated.
- Among the winners were leading companies in sectors such as telecommunications, retail, mining, banking and industry.
In Peru, solid waste management continues to be a challenge. According to the Ministry of the Environment, more than 23 thousand tons are generated every day, of which a large part is not handled properly. WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) requires specialized treatment to avoid environmental impacts and recover valuable materials in line with the circular economy.
With this scenario as a starting point, Comimtel, an operator specializing in solid waste management with more than 21 years of experience in the Peruvian market, organized the first edition of the R-Evoluciona 2025 Awards. Comimtel has been a pioneer in guaranteeing traceability, valorization and environmental certification in the disposal of waste, significantly impacting the adoption of responsible practices within the sector.
R-Evoluciona is a movement that seeks to inspire and demonstrate that sustainability is built with concrete actions. It seeks to make companies understand that managing their waste responsibly is not only about complying with a standard, but also about betting on innovation, competitiveness and the wellbeing of communities.
