As part of the commitment to Statkraft with the sustainability y environmental preservationl, the company's renewable energy planted 150 molle costeño trees at the entrance of the district of Santa María del Mar, in coordination with the district municipality and the NGO Entre Árboles. The event was attended by authorities from the Peruvian Ministry of Environment (MINAM) as part of the Great Green Crusade, a national tree planting campaign promoted by the Ministry.
This initiative was developed thanks to the citizens who participated in the Eco Rider Game, a videogame that aimed to teach users to recycle and care for the planet. In addition to winning prizes, the top scorers contributed to Statkraft's tree planting campaign.
This activity is in addition to the various actions that the company has been carrying out as part of the third edition of its Connect with the future initiative, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of caring for the environment, promoting sustainable practices for both individuals and companies to mitigate the effects of the climate change.
