Toyota del Perú: sustainability is built by combining creativity, innovation and social impact.
Starting in 2019, together with the Faculty of Art and Design of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, Toyota is promoting a circular economy competition that has brought together more than 130 students to transform automotive scrap materials into valuable products.
Today, one of these projects goes one step further: the tote bags made from recycled airbags are already in their first production run thanks to the talent of the women's association WOMEN IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. This is the second product that the company has developed as part of the contest, demonstrating that the circular economy does not remain in the design, but reaches the lives of Toyoteros.
Each tote bag is a piece that reflects Toyota del Perú's commitment to sustainability, young talent and equal opportunities. Because when materials are transformed, realities are also transformed.
