The products of Cementos Pacasmayo Fortimax, Extraforte and Type 1 are verified by AENOR Peru. This step provides an environmentally friendly profile based on life cycle information, under international sustainability standards.
"Thanks to AENOR's verification, we have taken a key step towards eco-efficiency. This action presents Pacasmayo as a company committed to reducing its CO2 emissions into the environment, while at the same time seeking sustainability of its actions by identifying critical points and mitigating impacts," said Ariana Torres, coordinator of Environmental Development.
"This is a standardized document that provides us with quantitative information on the environmental impact of our products. It is based on a life-cycle analysis, that is, it takes into account from the time our raw materials are extracted until our products are used and disposed of by our customers," explains Gabriel Mansilla, Climate Change and R&D superintendent.
This certification not only reinforces the transparency and credibility of Pacasmayo's Eco-Efficient portfolio, but also its commitment to the environment.
