BCP Receives the Highest Accolade from Huella de Carbono Perú for the Fourth Consecutive Year

The BCP Credit Bank received, for the fourth consecutive year, the highest honor from 4 Stars from the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) for its carbon footprint management, reaffirming its ongoing efforts to measure, reduce, and manage its greenhouse gas emissions.

This recognition reflects the work of various teams at the bank to promote initiatives aimed at emissions reduction, energy efficiency, the adoption of renewable energy, and the promotion of more responsible consumption.

What is Peru's Carbon Footprint?

Carbon Footprint Peru It is an official tool of the Ministry of the Environment that enables organizations to measure and manage their greenhouse gas emissions. Through a progressive recognition system, it recognizes organizations’ progress in measuring, verifying, and reducing their carbon footprint.

The The fourth star represents the platform's highest level of recognition and certifies that the organization, in addition to measuring and verifying its carbon footprint, has demonstrated a reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions.

With this new recognition, BCP continues to move toward its goal of achieve carbon neutrality by 2032, as part of its commitment to contributing to more sustainable development in Peru.
