As part of National Energy Conservation Day, Ferreycorp highlighted the progress made in 2025 toward optimizing energy consumption and reducing its carbon footprint through various initiatives implemented at its companies.
Energy efficiency is an important component of sustainable management in organizations. From this perspective, Ferreycorp and its companies have been spearheading initiatives that promote the responsible use of energy, by incorporating more efficient technologies and renewable energy sources into its operations.
Among the major advances in 2025, the implementation of photovoltaic solar panels, which helped prevent more than 180 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e) in the operations of Ferreyros, Gentrac, and General de Equipos.
In addition, the corporation made progress in modernizing its facilities by replacing conventional light fixtures with LED lighting at nine locations, thereby preventing 19.72 tCO₂e. In addition, the incorporation of motion sensors at three locations to automate and optimize energy consumption, as well as the implementation of systems for eco-efficient air conditioners at two Motored locations.
Another notable finding was that 100% of the electricity purchased in 2025 came from renewable sources at the 66 locations evaluated, pertaining to Ferreycorp and seven of its companies: Ferreyros, Fargo, Orvisa, Trex, Soltrak, Forbis Logistics, and Unimaq.
These actions demonstrate how a combination of technologies, operational improvements, and energy procurement decisions can help reduce the environmental impact of business activities.
Ferreycorp reaffirms its commitment to continuing to identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and move toward increasingly sustainable operations.
