Pacasmayo, the only Peruvian cement company to be included for the third consecutive year in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook

Pacasmayo announces its inclusion in “The Sustainability Yearbook 2023” published by S&P Global, making it the only Peruvian cement company to be included for three consecutive years.

This annual report is one of the most comprehensive publications on corporate sustainability that includes the most recognized companies in the world, considering the environmental, social and governance areas. In 2022, a total of 7,800 companies from various industries were evaluated.

"We are very proud that every year through our efforts we continue to bring improvements to the cement industry. Being part, for the third consecutive year, of this report of excellence is the result of a clear path of sustainability in the business and the joint work of all our employees and strategic allies.”said Claudia Bustamante, Sustainability and Investor Relations Manager of Cementos Pacasmayo.

Thanks to the work carried out by the cement company, it was also present in the Dow Jones MILA Sustainability Index, which highlights good practices in environmental, social and governance areas of the world's leading companies, and where Pacasmayo was ranked 7th in the “Construction Materials” category worldwide, improving its position with respect to the previous year.

"We entered the Sustainability Yearbook in 2021 and received the Industry Mover distinction for having registered the greatest improvement in the 2020 sustainability assessment of the sector. This year we are very proud to continue promoting sustainable innovation and the development of products and construction solutions that contribute to the care of the environment in the sector in order to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.”added Bustamante.

Finally, it is important to add that, to be included in the report, companies must score in the top 15% of their industry and achieve an overall S&P sustainability score no lower by 30% than that of the best performing company in their sector.
