{"id":9096,"date":"2020-07-13T17:23:32","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T22:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nexosmasuno.pe\/membresia\/?p=1132"},"modified":"2020-07-13T17:23:32","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T22:23:32","slug":"cofide-reconocimiento-minam-huella-carbono","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nexosmasuno.com\/en\/cofide-reconocimiento-minam-huella-carbono\/","title":{"rendered":"COFIDE obtains recognition from MINAM for its Carbon Footprint"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"9096\" class=\"elementor elementor-9096\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e47a0c0 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e47a0c0\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-85f7576\" data-id=\"85f7576\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-790ec60 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"790ec60\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">COFIDE is the first Peruvian financial institution to obtain the second star in Carbon Footprint Peru by MINAM.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0601755 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0601755\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Peru is committed to being a country <strong>Carbon Neutral in the year 2050<\/strong> and, prior to that, to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030, an initiative in which all public and private organizations must participate in order to achieve this common goal.<\/p><p>On this basis, the Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) has granted to <strong>COFIDE<\/strong>, Peru, the Development Bank of Peru, the \u201cCarbon Footprint Level 2\u201d diploma, due to its <strong>measurement and verification<\/strong> for a third of its institutional carbon footprint for 2019, through the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/huellacarbonoperu.minam.gob.pe\/huellaperu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Carbon Footprint Peru<\/span><\/a>\u201drecognition that places them as the <strong>first financial institution to achieve the second star<\/strong> on the platform created to be part of the country's climate action.<\/p><p>The result of COFIDE's Carbon Footprint calculation in 2019 was 308 tons of CO2eq. <strong>This generated impact will be neutralized<\/strong> with the purchase of carbon credits in order to contribute to the preservation of protected natural areas and, above all, to the social and economic development of their communities. In this way, they maintain their carbon neutral status.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-61b213d elementor-button-info
