  • The works optimized the climate resilience of the infrastructure of the Linea Amarilla expressway and the Via de Evitamiento at Zarumilla, one of the busiest areas of the concession that passes very close to the Rimac River. The completion of this project was an initiative aligned with VINCI Highways' global vision to improve the climate resilience of its network of more than 3,000 km of roads worldwide.<\/li>
  • Lima Expresa, a subsidiary of VINCI Highways and concessionaire of the V\u00eda de Evitamiento and the L\u00ednea Amarilla expressway, completed the last stage of the slope stabilization works in the Zarumilla area, which borders the banks of the R\u00edmac River. These works contributed to the safety and fluidity of the road in one of the busiest areas of Lima.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The last stage of this major project, which began in June 2024 and ended in December 2024, involved the protection of the toe of the slope on both banks at the bottom of the channel. For this purpose, a solution known as soil nailing with mesh and shotcrete, designed to stabilize these slopes, was implemented. In addition, jet grouting technology was used together with a metallic protection composed of stakes and wear plates to protect the base of the slopes.<\/p>

    For the stabilization of the right slope, a stretch of approximately 100 meters was covered, while on the left slope a stretch of 82 meters was applied. Thanks to this work, safety was provided to customers passing through the southbound Via de Evitamiento at Zarumilla and to those entering the Linea Amarilla expressway, also southbound.<\/p>

    This project, aligned with VINCI Highways' global vision, aimed to improve the climate resilience of its network and represented an investment of S\/. 36.47 million, with a total of five phases, which began in 2019. The first stage of the last phase of the project, started in August 2023 and extended until January 2024, consisted of strengthening both banks of the Rimac River by installing anchors six to eight meters deep and lining the slope with shotcrete to stabilize it.<\/p>
