    Following its sustainability guidelines, Toyota del Per\u00fa continues to develop strategies that contribute to the goal of achieving carbon neutrality. Therefore, in line with this commitment and following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the company is developing a Circular Economy project in partnership with the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Per\u00fa, for the management and reuse of materials produced in the automotive activity, and thus, promote the concept of circularity in society.<\/p>

    Within this framework, the competition \u201cProduct design with reuse of automotive spare parts\/accessories.\u201d<\/strong> for students of the Industrial Design career of the Faculty of Art and Design of the PUCP, who participated with the development of design pieces and utilitarian products using discarded materials and auto parts from Toyota del Per\u00fa.<\/p>

    This project, which began in 2019, has resumed in 2022 with a new edition that has resulted in three winning projects, among which the following stand out, articles
    organizers and entertainment. These parts will soon be available for purchase at Toyota dealerships, thus closing the circle of the circular economy project.<\/p>

    Thirty-eight students participated in the contest and used 1,900 kilos of the company's auto parts material, which included: wooden pallets, metal rims, plastic tire caps, spoke boxes, metal scraps, nuts and bolts. To complement the experience, the students received a course on circular economy and costs, a visit to Toyota del Per\u00fa's facilities and two market tests with the participation of expert car designers and end users.<\/p>

    We are addressing today's environmental challenges through our Circular Economy project with young people from the PUCP. To this end, we held a design contest with which we sought to give a second useful life to the auto parts that are discarded as a result of our operations. Thanks to this, we also encourage new ways of doing business with a focus on the environment.

    Thanks to this experience, and after workshops of Design Thinking with the environmental consulting firm Lib\u00e9lula<\/strong>, The Circular Economy project, where the company approaches young art and design talents to encourage the use of discarded materials, was born.<\/p>

    As a result, different design pieces were obtained, such as: tables, lamps, sets of
    tableware, decorative items, among others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    For this last edition developed in 2022, Toyota del Per\u00fa selected the following as winners
    to three projects with innovative and creative ideas. The awards included tools for
    design that will contribute to the professional development of students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    1st place - Organirin<\/strong> is a container and organizer for household and workshop tools,
