reducing its emissions, this achievement is made possible by certifying the offsetting of emissions for the 2019 and 2020 periods through the acquisition of carbon credits.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-check\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">In Peru, ENGIE is committed to reducing emissions by 20% and ultimately achieving carbon neutrality for the administrative management of all its facilities by 2030, thus accelerating the transition to a carbon neutral economy.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aec50be elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aec50be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>After registering its carbon footprint on the Ministry of the Environment's Carbon Footprint Peru platform by the end of 2020, <a href=\"https:\/\/engie-energia.pe\/notas-de-prensa\/edificio-corporativo-de-engie-en-el-peru-alcanza-la-carbono-neutralidad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENGIE Energy Peru<\/a> <strong>achieved \"carbon neutrality\" of its main headquarters in San Isidro<\/strong>The achievement is made plausible by the reduction of emissions and by the attainment of <strong>carbon credits<\/strong> for the periods 2019 and 2020.<\/p><p>Certified carbon credits pertain to projects of <strong>conservation of the organization Bosques Amaz\u00f3nicos<\/strong>emissions, offsetting the 858 tons of CO2 in 2019 and 262 tons of CO2 in 2020 emitted by the main administrative headquarters.<\/p><p>For several years we have been working to measure, reduce and offset all emissions that we may generate directly or indirectly. \"<em>This is a very important achievement for the company as we consider it key to act on our ways of working, promoting an organizational culture aligned with a carbon neutral world.<\/em>\"said Mario Castro, Environmental Manager of ENGIE Energ\u00eda Per\u00fa.<\/p><p>In order to achieve this objective, ENGIE Energ\u00eda Per\u00fa has developed several projects, such as electrical automation, the <strong>LED lighting<\/strong>the<strong> installation of 100 photovoltaic panels<\/strong> on the roof of the corporate building in San Isidro-Lima for self-generation of solar energy, the program of <strong>electric bicycles<\/strong> for its employees, among others.<\/p><p>The reduction of the carbon footprint is a process that involves several actors in society and that the private sector promotes by improving the habits of its employees, in addition to providing value to customers within the framework of sustainable
